During your initial consultation, your candidacy for the Brazilian Butt Lift will be determined. Generally, even a more slender person has enough fat to create the look wanted to achieve because a smaller deposit of fat creates a curvier result. For those with more fat able to be removed during the liposuction process, a BMI of 35 or under is required to perform the surgery safely. Your expert plastic surgeon will discuss all options with you (sometimes a Tummy Tuck might be suggested instead or before the BBL surgery depending on specific cases). Upon qualification a thorough physical exam complete with blood work will take place, and please be prepared with a list of any current medications, allergies, as well as any prior surgeries. One of our highly-trained staff members will take photographs to assist in your surgeon’s planning of your BBL. Then, prior to your procedure you will be given information and instructions pre-surgery like precautions about taking certain medications, food and alcohol consumption, as well as certain hygienic protocols.

Your surgery will take place at our state of the art facility here in Miami, FL. After general anesthesia is administered by an M.D. Anesthesiologist, your surgeon will begin the initial liposuction part of your Brazilian Butt Lift. They will remove any unwanted excess fat from the areas discussed in your consultations such as: the hips, abdomen, thighs, back, and/or other areas. Then the procured fat will be purified before it is injected strategically to areas of the upper buttocks in small amounts to achieve the enhanced, natural looking new curvature. They will then close up the small incisions from the liposuction and apply bandaging where needed.

Post-surgery expect some discomfort or pain in the muscular areas. As always our patient advocates and staff will discuss any and all available pain management options with you. We will advise you to not sit on your buttox for at least one week, after which there is a specific BBL cushion you may sit on.

Follow-up office visits occur 1-day post-operation, when we will re-dress your bandaging. Then 1 week and 1 month and 3 months after the procedure. Any further appointment would be advised by your surgeon. A calendar for each activity you may re-engage in will be discussed with you and our staff as well.
