As women age, losing fullness in the buttocks is common, and it can have a significant impact on your figure. The shape and size of your butt are important to achieve an ideal “hourglass” shape. And, many women find that a fuller, curvier rear-end can make their body more feminine and proportionate. The Brazilian Butt Lift or BBL reshapes and refines the “S”-shaped curve of your profile to create a more shapely silhouette.
Our Board Certified Doctors at The South Florida Center For Cosmetic Surgery can use your excess fat to create a natural, curvy shape and a more sculpted figure. We offer a high level of expertise in fat transfer and decades of experience. Our team of doctors and patient advocates work together to create the best surgery plan for you, without compromising quality or safety. The Brazilian Butt Lift or BBL procedure starts with liposuction, removing excess fat, which will then be used to create a fuller physique. Reshaping curves using fat transfer produces more natural results and a more pleasing figure overall.
The areas that our doctors target for liposuction are typical “problem areas,” such as the thighs, lower back and abdomen, which can be hard to reduce with diet and exercise. Removing fat from these problem areas will make your waist and the area around the buttocks appear smaller and leaner. Because the area around your buttocks will look smaller after surgery, your butt will appear fuller and be more noticeable. The excess fat is injected into the upper quadrant of the buttocks, so it looks lifted in all the right places.
Starting at $2,999*
- Results in a beautiful “S”-shaped curve.
- Using the patient’s own fat decreases the risk of infection or adverse reaction.
- The procedure requires a short downtime and only one surgical recovery, even though it’s a combination of plastic surgery treatments.
The cost of Brazilian Butt Lift surgery depends on several factors, including the complexity of the procedure and the number of areas where fat will be removed and transferred. We offer the Brazilian Butt Lift starting at $2,999, not including anesthesia or surgeon fees.
The South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery is committed to helping our patients find the most convenient payment method for their procedure. We work with three third-party financing companies to offer flexible payment plans with instant approval based upon your credit score. And, through our network of experienced physicians and vendors, and our agreements with competitive lenders, we’re confident that we can find a payment option that suits your lifestyle.

Before & After
Actual Patients Shown Before And After Surgery. Your Results May Vary.
During your initial visit, expect to provide your complete medical history, including all your medications, allergies, and previous surgeries. You’ll also undergo an extensive physical exam and blood tests before your surgeon takes photographs to aid in planning and performing your Brazilian Butt Lift. Finally, you’ll receive important instructions to prepare for treatment as well as a realistic explanation of the results you can expect to achieve.
Liposuction is the first step of the Brazilian Butt Lift procedure. Your surgeon will remove excess fat from selected areas of the hips, thighs, back, and abdomen. Then, they’ll purify the suctioned fat before transferring it to the upper buttocks in small amounts. Next, your fat will be strategically injected at varying depths to form an enhanced, but very natural, new curve.
After surgery, you will experience some discomfort once your anesthesia wears off. Our goal is to keep you as comfortable as possible. So, your surgeon will provide you with medication to mitigate any pain and soreness. Avoid sitting for the first week following your procedure and expect to wear a unique, post-surgery garment for the first two weeks to prevent swelling.
Patients whose jobs do not involve full-time sitting usually return to work in just a few days. Other patients wait up to two weeks. However, after about a month, your procedure swelling will have reduced substantially, and you can resume your regular exercise routine.
First, we remove excess fat from the hips, thighs, back, and abdomen. Then, we purify the fat to use as “donor” fat, injecting it into the upper buttocks. The fat is placed at varying depths to ensure the very highest absorption rate. The result is a fuller, more voluptuous, and prominent backside.
The Brazilian Butt Lift typically delivers excellent results. However, if you want to enhance those results, your surgeon can perform a Tummy Tuck after Brazilian Butt Lift surgery to maximize the difference in size between the stomach and the butt. The two surgeries must be performed separately, but together they can create a leaner, fuller contoured profile.
Your initial visit with your surgeon will help you prepare for your procedure and get an idea of what to expect during recovery. Your surgeon will also perform a complete physical examination, take blood tests, and take photos of your treatment area during the consultation. Feel free to talk to your doctor about the exact look you are hoping to achieve and any questions you have about your procedure.
Our professional M.D. Anesthesiologist always administers general anesthesia for all surgical procedures.
You can expect to be at our center for about 4-5 hours total. However, actual operating time for the Brazilian Butt Lift is about two hours.
The Brazilian Butt Lift procedure does not require a major recovery process. You should avoid sitting for the first week following surgery. However, some patients return to work after just a few days if their job does not involve sitting.
After 3-4 weeks, your swelling will have subsided, and you can resume a normal exercise routine. Your doctor will follow your progress closely and advise you as to which activities are safe during your healing process.
Complications are possible with any surgical procedure, including the Brazilian Butt Lift. The most common risk associated with this procedure is the possible absorption of the transferred fat in the weeks following surgery.
Recurrence of droopiness is also possible, especially in overweight patients or those with an extreme excess of skin. While not dangerous, these occurrences would require a second insertion of fat into the buttocks. However, a second procedure gets satisfactory results in nearly all cases.
The maximum BMI to have surgery at our facility is 35, the maximum to have surgery with us at the hospital is 40. Other factors will also be taken into account to determine if you are a good candidate for surgery and where the surgery will take place.
