The Process

Before Treatment

First, your Physician Assistant will evaluate your complete medical history to determine if you are a good candidate for treatment. If you think that your testosterone levels might be low or would like to check your hormone levels, we offer hormone testing to help determine where you stand. Based on your results, we will individually tailor a wellness program that is specifically designed to meet your particular needs.

You will receive testosterone injections twice per week. During each session, your Physician Assistant will begin the procedure by applying a topical anesthetic to reduce any pain, if necessary. Then, they will inject the testosterone directly into your muscle, allowing it to release into the bloodstream. Most patients report minimal pain and only slight discomfort during the procedure.

Post Treatment

You may experience some bruising or swelling after treatment. However, you can resume normal activities immediately after each session.

You can expect a reduction in hot flashes and night sweats, improved bone density, easier weight loss, a heightened sex drive, and improved memory and cognitive function.

Your Physician Assistant will use a series of injections to administer testosterone directly into your muscle, where it will eventually be released into the bloodstream to restore natural hormone levels.

You must stop smoking, taking aspirin, or taking diet pills at least two weeks before the procedure.

None. Your Physician Assistant may apply a mild analgesic cream 30 minutes before the procedure.

The actual injection process typically takes about 10 minutes. Your entire appointment will take about 30 minutes.

There is no recovery period associated with testosterone injections. You can resume your normal activities immediately after your appointment.
