At South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we offer advanced technologies to support your results. Our expert plastic surgeons in Fort Lauderdale use the Internal Bra using Durasorb Resorbable Mesh. This technique is designed to help you maintain your breasts over time, whether incorporated into a breast lift, augmentation, or revision. The internal mesh bra is fully absorbable, supporting your body’s natural production of collagen, strengthening your breast tissue in its new position as it gradually dissolves.
This technique is ideal for those women who are looking to benefit from a more lasting support when targeting concerns like loss of breast firmness, shape, and position due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight changes. This approach is not about replacing traditional breast surgery—it’s about enhancing it. The Internal Mesh Bra provides:
The internal mesh bra offers a high custom approach to your chosen breast surgery tailored to your unique anatomy, aesthetic goals, and long-term confidence.
At the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, every patient deserves a custom approach for their chosen breast surgery that fits their unique anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Our expert plastic surgeons will evaluate your case and unique structure and can incorporate the Internal Mesh Bra into your breast procedure to help maintain your results, whether you’re looking to restore your shape, enhance breast support, improve symmetry, or reinforce your breast lift or reduction.
The way the Internal Mesh Bra supports your breast surgery is by placing it internally during the procedure, creating a discreet “scaffold” that supports the breast tissue. Your body will naturally absorb the mesh over time and will support the production of collagen, leaving you with a firmer internal structure that helps you maintain your results for longer.
The cost of the Internal Bra technique in Fort Lauderdale at the South Florida Center starts at $2,499 in addition to your breast procedure. Your coordinator will provide final pricing, and it will vary depending on the chosen breast procedure and the extent of your surgery.
Adding the Internal Mesh Bra to your procedure is more accessible than you think. Your consultant will walk you through the process to apply our flexible financing options using third-party companies. Our staff will help you from start to finish to help you make an informed decision.
Built-In Support from the Inside Out
The Internal Mesh Bra with DuraSorb® is seamlessly incorporated into your breast procedure; patients won’t feel it’s there, and it doesn’t require any additional incisions. Your surgeon may describe it as a hidden, internal bra that works silently beneath the surface to support your breast tissue and support the lift for longer.
Before your procedure, your surgeon determines the best size and placement of the surgical mesh to support your surgical goals based on your anatomy, breast tissue quality, and surgical goals.
After reshaping or augmenting the breast, the DuraSorb® mesh is positioned internally to reinforce the lower breast pole and implant pocket (if applicable). This creates a natural “sling” that reduces downward pull over time.
The mesh provides immediate structural support while your body begins producing new collagen in the area. Over several months, the mesh safely dissolves, leaving behind a stronger, more resilient tissue framework.
Because the mesh helps maintain your breast shape during the critical healing period, you’re less likely to experience early sagging or “bottoming out” after surgery.
At the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we’re committed to offering the best techniques because when it comes to your breast surgery, every detail matters. We use DuraSorb®, a high-quality, absorbable mesh material that is trusted by surgeons nationwide for its strength, safety, and reliability.

DuraSorb® provides immediate, strong internal support during the critical healing phase when your breasts are most vulnerable to stretching and settling.

The mesh naturally dissolves within 6–9 months, leaving behind only your body’s own reinforced collagen for ongoing support. There’s no need for future removal, and no permanent foreign material remains in your body.

Its soft, flexible structure adapts to your body’s natural movements, so you won’t feel it inside—and it won’t interfere with the way your breasts look or feel.

By reinforcing the lower breast pole and implant pocket, DuraSorb® helps maintain your surgical results and overall breast shape for years to come.

Used in multiple areas of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, DuraSorb® has an outstanding safety profile and is backed by extensive clinical use.
Choosing DuraSorb® means choosing a discreet, internal layer of protection for your results—helping you look lifted, balanced, and confident for longer.
With the extra support the Internal Mesh Bra gives, a breast lift can sit higher on the chest, restoring firmness and perkiness often lost after pregnancy, weight changes, or breastfeeding.
During a breast lift, the areola is repositioned, creating a better balance between both breasts. With the Internal Mesh Bra, patients feel extra supported, and the repositioning and new proportions last longer over time.
After adding the Internal Mesh Bra to your breast procedure, patients may require less structural support from bras. This gives you more freedom to expand your sense of style and feel better and more comfortable wearing certain clothing like bras, swimsuits, and fitted tops.
While a traditional lift reshapes and tightens the breast tissue, incorporating the DuraSorb® mesh adds extra internal support. This technique helps maintain the uplifted position for longer over time and reduces the risk of sagging again due to life changes.
Sometimes all you need is to add extra support to your breast lift. Many patients are happy and comfortable with their current volume, and the Internal Mesh Bra can help you enhance and maintain the new lifted shape, contour, and firmness without the need for implants.
Many patients feel more secure and confident by adding an internal mesh bra, which reassures the patient that their results are going to be supported over a long period of time. Patients often feel a boost in their confidence in intimate settings and are more aligned with how they look and present themselves in their daily lives.

30 - 1 Day Before Surgery
You’ll start by having your consultation with your surgeon to finalize your personalized surgical plan. Our pre-operative team will ensure you finish your bloodwork, obtain necessary medical clearance, and take before pictures to get you ready for surgery day.
Surgery Day
A breast procedure with the addition of an Internal Mesh Bra takes around 2-4 hours, depending on the type of surgery, either a breast lift or a breast augmentation. The internal mesh bra is carefully placed to work as an internal support. This is an outpatient procedure, and you’ll return home right after surgery wearing a post-surgery bra to support healing.
1 Day Post Op
Rest is key during this stage, and limited movement is advised. Swelling, soreness, and mild discomfort are normal. You must continue wearing your post-surgery bra to help minimize swelling and support circulation. If any discomfort is experienced, you’ll be able to manage it with your prescribed pain medication.
1 Week Post Op
Your surgeon will see you the next day to monitor healing and remove any non-dissolvable sutures if applicable. Most patients feel comfortable while walking, but any strenuous activities should be avoided.
1 Month Post Op
At this stage, swelling will continue to subside, and many patients can see their new shape and contour. Your surgeon will clear you to start light exercise, but high-impact activities are still limited. The mesh is still providing internal support, and you must continue wearing your post-surgery bra.
3 - 6 Months Post Op
By this stage, your internal mesh bra will be fully absorbed by your body, and it will leave an internal strengthened tissue and continuous collagen stimulation for lasting support. Scars will continue to fade, and you’ll be close to seeing the final result, a new shape.
1 Year Post-Op & Beyond
Patients are able to keep enjoying their results and the benefit of the internal mesh bra support over time. Regular breast checks, annual exams, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and habits will help you maintain your results for even longer.

The Internal Mesh Bra is an advanced technique used during breast procedures to provide additional structural support to the breasts from the inside. This absorbable mesh is placed right beneath the breast tissue or implant during surgery and works as a “sling” to reinforce and stabilize the breast tissue and avoid “bottoming out”.
DuraSorb® is a medical-grade, absorbable, and fully dissolvable mesh, it is made from a biocompatible polymer that is safely broken down by the body and supports the stimulation of collagen. This technique helps maintain long-term support even after the mesh is fully absorbed.
The Internal Mesh Bra usually provides support for 3-6 months. After this period of time, the mesh is fully dissolved and leaves behind a strong tissue supporting your new breast shape, whether you got a lift or a breast augmentation procedure.
Your surgeon can advise adding an internal mesh bra with procedures like a breast lift, a breast reduction, breast revision, and a breast augmentation with or without implants. This is ideal for those patients who are looking and need additional reinforcement.
No. The Internal Mesh Bra does not affect volume or size, but rather improves and provides extra support from the inside. Volume is actually affected by implants or fat crafting. Patients choose to add the Internal Mesh Bra to a procedure to help maintain the shape and lift over time.
Yes. At the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we ensure to work and use the best and safest technology during procedures. DuraSorb is FDA-cleared and approved, and is designed to safely dissolve without leaving permanent foreign material behind in your system.
This supportive internal mesh bra reinforces the weakened breast tissue from the issue, especially once it is completely absorbed, leaving behind a strong collagen wall, helping counteract gravity and tissue stretch during healing. This can significantly improve long-term lift durability over time.
Adding an internal mesh bra to your breast procedure does not make your recovery longer or shorter. The mesh is placed internally during surgery and does not reuired addtional incisions or special wound care. Most patients don’t even feel the material, and it does not cause any type of discomfort.
The ideal candidate is someone who deals with moderate sagging, thin tissue, stretched skin, and those undergoing revision surgery. It is also beneficial for those patients who desire to choose a bigger implant size. Choosing a DuraSorb Internal Mesh Bra provides long-lasting support.
Yes, your surgeon will encourage you to add an internal mesh bra to your breast surgery to correct issues such as bottoming out, implant displacement, or early sagging. A revision often involves compromised skin tissue, and adding the mesh will help to provide support where it is lacking.
No. Patients are unable to feel the mesh. The Internal Mesh Bra is placed deep within the breast tissue, and it softens as healing continues. Once the mesh is completely dissolved, natural tissue takes over. Patients don’t feel it throughout recovery and beyond.
Risks are more related to the actual breastsurgery, including swelling, bruising, and infection. Risks are minimized due to the material and the fact that it is fully dissolvable. Your surgeon will explain all the potential risks during your consultation.
Adding the internal mesh bra has an initial cost of $2,499 (surgeon and anesthesia fee not included). Final price varies based on individual surgical plans, mixed procedures and the extent of your surgery. Your coordinator will provide all the final details after your consultation with your surgeon.
While no procedure can stop the effect of aging, the Internal Mesh Bra can help you significantly extend the longevity of your breast lift or augmentation results. Patients experience a more supported chest contour compared to those without mesh reinforcement. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and stable weight are key to prolonging your final results.
In patients who need extra support, yes. Traditional techniques rely heavily on skin and sutures for lift, which can stretch over time. The Internal Mesh Bra transfers some of that load to deeper tissue layers. This can improve shape stability and reduce the likelihood of needing revision surgery later.
Yes. The mesh helps stabilize the implant pocket, reducing movement during the healing process. This is particularly valuable for larger implants or patients prone to bottoming out. By reinforcing the internal framework, the mesh helps keep implants in their intended position. This improves both symmetry and long-term aesthetics.
DuraSorb® is fully resorbable and does not remain in the body permanently. As it dissolves, your body produces collagen that assumes the role of internal support. There is no permanent synthetic material left behind. This makes it an appealing option for patients who prefer non-permanent solutions.
