A breast lift repositions the breast tissue higher on the chest and restores skin firmness, creating a more youthful and lifted appearance.
Many patients experience discomfort wearing bras, swimsuits, and form-fitting tops due to sagging. A breast lift improves how clothing fits and feels without relying on structural support from bras.
Sagging can cause the nipple and areola to stretch and point downward. A breast lift repositions and resizes the areola to match your new breast contour.
Over time, aging, pregnancy, and weight changes can cause the skin to lose elasticity — leading to breast ptosis. A breast lift removes excess skin and reshapes the breast mound for a firmer appearance.
A breast lift is ideal for patients who are comfortable with their breast size but want to improve shape and position. The procedure repositions existing tissue without implants, helping patients return to a shape they feel confident with.
A breast lift addresses both physical and emotional concerns. Many patients report improved confidence, comfort, and overall satisfaction with their body after surgery.
A breast lift elevates breast tissue, removes excess skin, and repositions the nipple-areola complex. The incision type your surgeon selects depends on the degree of sagging, the amount of excess skin, and your desired results. Each approach is chosen to achieve the best lift while keeping scars as minimal as possible.
During your consultation, you will be able to express your concerns, goals, and expectations. With this information, your surgeon will choose the best approach for your needs.
A circular incision around the edge of the areola. Best for patients with mild sagging and minimal excess skin. This technique provides subtle lifting and heals discreetly.
A circular incision around the areola with a vertical line extending down to the breast fold. Recommended for patients with moderate sagging. This approach allows the surgeon to achieve a greater lift and reshape the breast tissue more significantly.
Combines the periareolar incision, a vertical incision, and a horizontal cut along the breast crease. Ideal for patients with significant sagging or volume loss. This technique provides the most extensive lift and reshaping.
A breast lift (mastopexy) can be performed with or without implants. This decision is made with your surgeon based on your goals for shape, volume, and final appearance.
A breast lift alone does not add volume or change cup size. It elevates and firms the breast tissue by removing excess skin. Some patients notice their bras fit differently after surgery — not because of a size change, but because of the new breast position. Lifting the tissue into a more compact shape can also reduce your bra cup size.
Adding implants to a breast lift can increase or restore fullness, especially in the upper portion of the breast, creating a rounder shape. If one of your goals is to maintain or increase volume, your surgeon may recommend combining a lift with implants.
If your only goal is to restore firmness and elevate sagging tissue, a breast lift without implants may be the right option. Your surgeon will help you decide during your consultation.
A breast lift on its own raises, reshapes, and firms the breast by removing excess skin that contributes to sagging. This option is ideal for patients who are comfortable with their current breast size and do not have significant volume loss.
Patients with adequate natural volume who want perkier, more lifted breasts without adding size.
A more youthful, elevated contour without increased fullness.
Adding implants is a great option for patients who are also looking to restore volume or to increase/ change their cup size. Combining both techniques delivers a fuller and rounder look at the top of the breast.
Patients who have lost volume after pregnancy, weight loss, or aging, and want both a lift and added size or roundness.
A lifted, fuller, and more rounded breast shape with enhanced cleavage.
Some patients in Miami decide to remove their implants after many years, sometimes depending on the size. This can cause sagginess, and a breast lift might be needed. Some patients like the fullness of an implant, but after removing it, they might choose to create that rounder look with fat grafting.
Patients removing implants who want to restore a natural, proportionate breast shape after volume loss.
A more youthful, lifted breast appearance that complements your natural body proportions.
If you’re thinking about a breast lift, your surgeon might suggest an internal mesh bra, which provides support without adding any type of volume. An internal mesh bra is fully dissolvable to reinforce the breast tissue from within, helping maintain the lift long term without the need for implants.
Having multiple options can feel overwhelming, but our team of expert surgeons in Miami will help you determine which approach is the best for you, your goals, body, and anatomy. We have a solution for you, whether you want to enhance size, simply lift, or restore the breast shape after an explant. We will create the best surgical plan to deliver the best results.

30 - 1 Day Before Surgery
Our pre-operative team will help you set up a personalized consultation, before pictures, bloodwork, and every detail needed to make sure you’re clear to undergo surgery. This is the perfect time to ask questions and be as informed as possible.
Surgery Day
Breast Lift surgery takes around 2-3 hours and is performed under general anesthesia, no exceptions. At our center, this procedure is an outpatient surgery, allowing patients to return home after they’re fully awake. Patients return home with a post-op bra that will provide support and help with the shape of their new breasts. Post-op will provide detailed instructions before discharge.
1 Day Post Op
Rest should be your number one priority, limiting any type of upper-body movement. Swelling, bruising, and tightness around the treated area (chest) are common. You have to continue wearing the surgical post-op bra to help with the healing, support, and new position.
1 Week Post Op
You will come into the office for your post-op appointment, our nurses and surgeon will check that your incisions are healing correctly, and monitor the area. You will feel more comfortable with mild movement, but it is still recommended to limit strenuous upper-body movement.
1 Month Post Op
Inflammation will continue to drop, and you’ll start to have a better feel of how your new breast shape is adjusting and healing. Many patients are now clear to go back to non-strenuous activities and low-impact exercise. It is still important to keep wearing your post-op bra for support during this stage of recovery.
2-12 Months Post Op
During this final step of recovery, your breasts will continue to adjust into their final shape and form, and swelling will go away completely during this stage. Post op will provide proper care to make sure your incisions fade gradually. You will feel fully recovered between the 3-6 months mark and be able to see final results by 6-12 months.

Dr Brandon Elnekaveh, in my opinion is the best cosmetic surgeon I’ve come across and had the absolute best experience. Dr Brandon has not only outstanding medical credentials, but what I would consider in my opinion to be a perfectionist at what he does and also very detailed oriented to the specifics of which he is performing. I cannot say enough how incredibly happy I am with the outcome of my breast augmentation from Dr Brandon. So Ladies If you’re looking to make some changes and self pampering and you found the right doctor with Dr Brandon.

A breast lift, also known as a mastopexy, is a procedure designed to remove excess breast tissue to lift, reshape, and firm the breast contour and reposition the nipple. This procedure is ideal for patients who have experienced sagging due to aging, pregnancy, or weight fluctuations.
Ideal candidates are those women who deal with drooping breasts, stretched skin, or nipples that point downward. These patients must be in overall good health, maintain a stable weight, and have realistic expectations. During your consultation, your surgeon will help you choose the best plan and examine if you need a lift alone or to include breast implants.
A breast lift does not affect the volume of the breast; it lifts the tissue, creating a firmer contour by removing excess skin. Some patients may see a slight reduction, which depends on the amount of tissue removed. You can pair your breast lift with implants to increase or maintain volume.
Yes! Many women are happy with their natural volume and are just looking to enhance and improve their position and firmness. This option is great for those who are looking for a youthful contour without adding size. Fat grafting may be an option if you’re concerned about losing too much volume, but want to stay away from implants.
A breast lift procedure focuses on removing excess breast tissue that is causing sagging and stretched skin, to improve firmness and position, delivering a more balanced and symmetric look. A breast augmentation is designed to add volume to your breasts with the use of implants. Patients have the choice of selecting saline or silicone implants. Many patients choose to pair these two techniques to achieve a more complete transformation.
A breast lift has different techniques, serving different purposes. The scar will depend on the incision your surgeon chooses, which can be a donut, lollipop, or anchor-shaped, depending on your level og sagging and amount of stretched skin. Our surgeons are committed to maintaining the scars as discreetly as possible; they are carefully and strategically placed in areas that can be easily hidden with underwear or swimsuits.
A breast lift takes around 2-3 hours; this all depends on the type of technique your surgeon uses for your surgery, the amount of excess tissue removed, if you’re adding breast implants or fat grafting, and if you’re combining your breast lift procedure with any other surgery.
Most patients feel comfortable and are cleared to return to light activities after 2 weeks post-op. Your surgeon will clear you after the 6-week mark to return to all types of activities and strenuous exercise. You will be advised to continue wearing your post-surgery bra for the next 3 months to guarantee an optimal and lifted result.
Every case is different, but most patients experience temporary changes in nipple sensation during recovery, as nerves adjust after repositioning. Most patients experience gradual improvements and get back to normal as weeks pass by. Permanent loss is not common, but it can happen with more extensive cases.
Breastfeeding is still possible after a breast lift, but it will all depend on the technique and how much repositioning is required. It is important to communicate your needs and plans with your surgeon to preserve milk ducts and glandular tissue. It is advised to complete your family before undergoing a lift, as future pregnancies can affect your results.
Breast lift results are long-lasting; it is very important to maintain a stable weight and a healthy lifestyle to optimize the longevity. Most patients can enjoy their results for 10 years or more. Supportive bras, good posture, and proper body care can help you prolong results.
Yes, one of the benefits of a breast lift is that it can improve breast symmetry by reshaping each breast individually. Many women experience asymmetry and differences in size or position. For a more complete result, you can pair your lift with implants or fat grafting to create a perfect match.
At the South Florida Center, breast lift surgery starts at $4,798, excluding anesthesia and surgeon fees. Your coordinator will provide your final personalized quote, which will vary depending on the complexity of your case, the amount of tissue removed, and if you decide to pair your breast lift with implants or any other procedures.
Absolutely! Many patients choose to combine their breast lifts with other breast or body contouring procedures like liposuction, tummy tuck, or pair it with breast implants. Combining procedures can help you achieve a more balanced and complete transformation that matches your aesthetic goals.
An internal bra uses an absorbable surgical mesh, such as DuraSorb®, to reinforce breast tissue from within after a lift. This mesh acts like an invisible support structure, helping maintain the breast’s new shape, preventing early sagging, and reducing tension on the incision line. Over time, the material is safely absorbed by the body, leaving behind your own strengthened collagen support. Surgeons often recommend it for patients with thinner skin, larger breasts, or previous surgeries who want longer-lasting, more elevated results.
