Restore harmony and confidence with revision rhinoplasty in Fort Lauderdale

If you’ve previously undergone a rhinoplasty and are unhappy with the results—whether due to aesthetic concerns, breathing difficulties, or structural irregularities—a revision rhinoplasty can help restore balance, function, and confidence.

Revision rhinoplasty is a highly specialized procedure performed to correct or refine the outcome of a previous nose surgery. Whether you’re dealing with asymmetry, nasal collapse, scar tissue, or results that simply don’t align with your vision, our expert surgeons are here to provide a personalized solution that addresses both form and function.

Because no two rhinoplasty journeys are the same, revision procedures require a deeper understanding of nasal anatomy, scar tissue, and prior surgical techniques. At the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we take a meticulous and compassionate approach—helping you move forward with results that look and feel more authentically you.

Your body, your goals — Personalized revision rhinoplasty

At the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we understand that revision rhinoplasty is about more than aesthetics—it’s about restoring your confidence and addressing concerns that may have lingered after a previous surgery. Whether you’re experiencing functional issues like breathing difficulties or you’re simply unhappy with the look or symmetry of your nose, our expert surgeons are here to help you achieve results that feel aligned with your goals.

Revision rhinoplasty is never one-size-fits-all. Every patient has a unique anatomy, surgical history, and vision for their appearance. That’s why your surgical plan will be fully customized—taking into account your structural needs, skin condition, cartilage availability, and overall facial balance. Our team uses advanced techniques to correct previous outcomes and enhance both form and function.

Patients often experience significant improvements in self-image, breathing comfort, and overall facial harmony. Whether it’s your second surgery or a more complex reconstruction, this procedure offers an opportunity to move forward with confidence and clarity.

The cost of revision rhinoplasty at the South Florida Center starts at $2,999 (not including anesthesia and surgeon fees). Final pricing will depend on the complexity of your case and any additional refinements required to meet your goals.

To make your procedure more accessible, we offer flexible financing options through trusted third-party providers with a simple, secure application process. Our team is committed to guiding you every step of the way.

What can be improved with revision rhinoplasty

Revision rhinoplasty is a highly individualized procedure that focuses on correcting both aesthetic and functional concerns left unresolved—or introduced—by a previous nose surgery. Whether you’re seeking subtle refinements or more extensive corrections, our skilled surgeons can address a wide range of issues, including:

Asymmetry or irregularities

Visible irregularities such as bumps, dips, or uneven nostrils may develop after primary rhinoplasty. Revision surgery smooths out contour deformities and improves symmetry for a more balanced, natural appearance.

Over-resection
(too much removed)

When too much cartilage or bone is removed during the initial surgery, the nose may appear collapsed, pinched, or overly narrow. Revision rhinoplasty can rebuild structure using cartilage grafts (often from the septum, ear, or rib) to restore strength and shape.

Under-resection
(too little changed)

If the original surgery didn’t go far enough, the nose may still appear large, wide, or prominent. Revision allows for further reshaping to better meet the patient’s aesthetic goals.

Breathing difficulties

Visible irregularities such as bumps, dips, or uneven nostrils may develop after primary rhinoplasty. Revision surgery smooths out contour deformities and improves symmetry for a more balanced, natural appearance.

Tip irregularities

A bulbous, drooping, or asymmetric nasal tip can be corrected through tip refinement techniques that reshape and support the cartilage, improving definition and projection.

Nasal collapse or weak support

If the nose has weakened over time or appears collapsed, structural grafting can reinforce the nasal framework to provide both support and aesthetic improvement.

Visible scarring or skin irregularities

Poor wound healing, scarring, or changes to the skin texture may be addressed during revision with careful surgical planning and scar revision techniques.

Dissatisfaction with overall shape

Some patients simply feel that the nose no longer suits their face or personal preferences. Revision rhinoplasty offers a second chance to create a shape that feels more harmonious and in line with their aesthetic vision.

Customize your rhinoplasty revision benefits

Refine or correct previous results

Rhinoplasty revision allows patients to address concerns left unresolved from a primary rhinoplasty. Whether due to asymmetry, breathing difficulties, or unsatisfactory shape, revision surgery provides the opportunity to refine the nose’s form and function.

Improve facial harmony

A nose that feels too large, pinched, droopy, or asymmetrical can disrupt overall facial balance. A revision procedure aims to restore natural proportions—enhancing harmony between the nose, chin, cheeks, and other facial features.

Address functional breathing issues

Beyond aesthetics, revision rhinoplasty can also correct structural issues such as a deviated septum or collapsed nasal valves that may cause difficulty breathing. Many patients report improved airflow and daily comfort after surgery.

Correct over-resection or irregularities

Some patients experience complications from overly aggressive or poorly executed primary rhinoplasties—such as a scooped bridge, tip collapse, or visible irregularities. Revision techniques can rebuild and support nasal structures for a more natural result.

Boost self-confidence

When the nose doesn’t align with your desired appearance, it can affect how you feel in social or professional settings. A successful revision rhinoplasty helps patients feel more self-assured and satisfied with their reflection.

Reinforce structural support for long-term results

In some cases, cartilage grafts or internal support may be used during revision to strengthen the nasal framework. This ensures not only a refined appearance but also a nose that functions well and maintains its shape over time.

Rhinoplasty revision consultation process

01 Complete our form

Fill out our virtual consult form online, so that we can get some more information about you and what you specific needs. Be sure to include any concerns and questions that you have for our staff or surgeons. There is also an option to attach photos for the surgeon to review when evaluating your case.

In most cases, you’ll receive a proposal within 24 hours of submitting a request via email from your assigned patient care consultant. This will show a breakdown of pricing, what’s included, and next steps to move forward with the surgery. You’ll also be able to contact your consultant moving forward with any questions or concerns about your surgery.

In order to move forward with your surgery, the surgeon must evaluate your body and your specific goals. Patients can either submit photos including multiple angles (front, both profiles, and back) along with comments about their goals and concerns, or can schedule a video call at their convenience to virtually meet with the surgeon. We offer virtual consultations with Dr. Robert Cucin, Dr. John Pinnella, Dr. Brandon Elnekaveh, and Dr. Rohan Policherla. We also offer in-person consultations with a $500 deposit that goes towards the overall cost of your surgery.

After your consultation, whether by submitting photos, video call, or in-person, the surgeon will create a surgical plan and approve you as a candidate for surgery. The surgeon might also suggest another procedure. Your patient care consultant will reach out to you to confirm the surgeon’s approval and answer any remaining questions you may have.

Once you are ready to move forward, you can leave a $500 deposit using a credit card, cash, or one of our trusted financing partners. This deposit goes towards the overall cost of your  surgery. Deposits are non-refundable, but remain as a center credit for a period of one year.

After you leave your deposit, you are ready to schedule your surgery. Our scheduling supervisor will reach out to you and choose dates for your pre-operative and surgical appointments that work for you. If you’re not ready to schedule right away, just let us know when to reach out and we will be happy to follow up at a later time.

Surgery and recovery process

30 - 1 Day Before Surgery

In the weeks leading up to your revision rhinoplasty, you’ll meet with your surgeon for a detailed consultation and pre-operative assessment. This includes reviewing your goals, surgical history, medical clearance, and any imaging or photos. You’ll receive personalized pre-op instructions and medications if needed.

Surgery Day

Revision rhinoplasty typically takes 2 to 4 hours depending on the complexity of the procedure. It is performed under general anesthesia in our accredited surgical facility. Patients return home the same day with a nasal splint in place to protect the newly structured nose.

1 - 3 Days Post-Op

Swelling, congestion, and mild bruising around the eyes and cheeks are common. You’ll need to rest with your head elevated and avoid blowing your nose. Cold compresses and prescribed medication can help manage discomfort.

1 Week Post-Op

You’ll return to the office to have your external splint removed and sutures checked or removed. While much of the bruising will start to fade, swelling—especially around the nasal tip—will still be present. You can typically resume light activities and return to work if your job is non-strenuous.

2 - 4 Weeks Post-Op

Most visible swelling subsides and breathing through the nose may improve. You can gradually resume low-impact exercise and return to more social activities. However, the nose remains delicate and should be protected from impact and sun exposure.

3 - 6 Months Post-Op

By this point, the majority of swelling has resolved, and your nose continues to refine. Subtle changes in shape, definition, or contour will become more noticeable. The nasal tissues continue to heal internally as well.

12+ Months Post-Op

Final results are typically visible within one year of surgery. The nasal tip, in particular, can take the longest to settle. At this stage, you’ll enjoy a more balanced, functional, and natural-looking nose that aligns with your facial features and goals.

Frequently asked rhinoplasty revision questions

What is revision rhinoplasty?

Revision rhinoplasty is a secondary nose procedure focused on correcting or improving results from a previous rhinoplasty. Patients can experience concerns, including both aesthetic and functional. Our rhinoplasty expert will examine your concerns to deliver your desired initial results.
A primary rhinoplasty works with no previous alterations or scar tissue. A revision requires advanced surgical skills and an extensive understanding of your unique nose anatomy to deal with persistent or new concerns from the original surgery.

A rhinoplasty revision is ideal for patients who are dissatisfied with their results from a previous nose surgery; they may be experiencing aesthetic or functional concerns that need to be addressed. Anyone who goes through a primary rhinoplasty must wait at least 12 months before undergoing a revision. Patients must be in overall good health and have realistic expectations.

Patients who had a primary rhinoplasty must wait at least 12 to 18 months before wanting to get a revision. This allows a proper recovery period where all the swelling fully subsides, and the tissue stabilizes around the new shape.
Yes. Sometimes a primary rhinoplasty might leave functional issues, one of which is breathing problems. A rhinoplasty revision can correct issues like collapsed nasal valves, a deviated septum, or internal scar tissue that may be affecting airflow, not allowing you to breathe properly.
At South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we’re committed to delivering natural, balanced, and functional results. Our skilled rhinoplasty surgeon will work on refining your nasal shape while maintaining the balance with your facial structure and features. This is why it is important to have a personalized consultation to determine and create a tailored plan just for you.
Patients may experience issues and are unhappy with their results for a variety of reasons, including residual asymmetry, overly aggressive reduction, tip irregularities, breathing difficulty, visible scars around the area, or a nose that doesn’t fit the patient’s facial structure and aesthetic goals.
A revision rhinoplasty has a similar recovery period as a primary nose job. Most patients feel better once the cast comes off at your one week post-operative appointment. Initial swelling subsides within 4-6 weeks, but patients will be able to see their final results around the 12-18 month mark, which is when your nose settles into its final shape.
Rhinoplasty revisions are performed with a closed technique, resulting in minimal to no scarring. In some cases, patients may need a septoplasty, which includes small incisions on the natural folds of the nose. These small scars fade well over time.
This technique depends on the extent of your surgery and reconstructive work. If an initial rhinoplasty resulted in loss of support or structure, cartilage may be taken from the septum, ear, or rib to reinforce or rebuild the nasal framework.
At the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, the starting price for a rhinoplasty revision starts at $2,999 (excluding surgeon and anesthesia fees). Your consultant will provide you with your final personalized quote, which will vary depending on the extent of your revision and if you’re combining any other techniques or procedures.
Any type of procedure includes some level of risk, some could be infections, prolonged swelling, asymmetry, and the possibility of needing a third revision. It is important to feel confident with your decision and choose an experienced surgeon, which will help to minimize these risks.
Yes! Even though this type of procedure is to reconstruct or fix issues from a primary rhinoplasty, this surgery can still be combined with options like a chin augmentation, eyelid surgery, or a facelift for a full facial transformation. A virtual consultation can determine your candidacy for other procedures.
When doing your research to find the right surgeon for your revision rhinoplasty, it is important to consider if they specialize in complex rhinoplasty procedures, the number of years, have a strong before-and-after portfolio, and take the time to create a personalized surgical plan for your own needs and anatomy.
