Fat will be removed using liposuction from areas like the abdomen, flanks, thighs, or back, and inserted with a fine cannula into the buttocks to enhance volume and shape. This is an outpatient procedure, you’ll go home the same day after surgery wearing compression garments.

Rest becomes a priority for the first 24-72 hours post-surgery, your surgeon will advise to avoid sitting directly on your buttocks. Swelling, soreness and drainage at liposuction sites are normal. You must continue wearing your compression garment to help reduce swelling and support circulation and your new shape. You’ll have prescribed pain medication to manage any type of discomfort.

You’ll be back to our office one week post-op, and your surgeon will monitor the incision area and how the healing process is progressing. It is important to keep avoiding direct pressure or sitting on the buttocks, a BBL pillow will be essential to ease your recovery. Light walking is recommended to support circulation, but all strenuous activity should be avoided.

Patients are now cleared to resume light-impact activities and resume a normal work/life schedule. Swelling will continue to subside, and strenuous activity or sitting without support is still limited. Most patients can start seeing their new curves and silhouette.
