The abdominal area is one of the most common places where the body holds on to changes from pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or aging. Over time, loose skin, separated muscles (diastasis recti), and stubborn fat can affect the appearance of your midsection—no matter how consistent your diet or workouts are. A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a highly effective way to restore a flatter, firmer abdominal contour and rebuild confidence in your core.
Even subtle improvements to the waistline can dramatically enhance how clothing fits and how you feel in your body—restoring definition and balance to your overall shape.
At the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we believe your surgical journey should reflect your body, lifestyle, and individual goals—not a one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why every tummy tuck procedure is carefully tailored to address your specific needs, whether you’re looking to repair weakened muscles, remove excess skin, or restore a more contoured, confident shape.
Our skilled plastic surgeons will customize your surgical plan to align with your natural anatomy and aesthetic vision. At the South Florida Center, every Tummy Tuck procedure is performed with Liposuction of the flanks to create a flattering hourglass silhouette. During your consultation, you’ll discuss your concerns and goals in detail so we can create a treatment strategy that’s both effective and uniquely yours.
Many patients choose abdominoplasty not just for cosmetic improvement, but for the physical relief it can bring— tighter abdominal muscles, improved posture, and more comfort in daily movement.
Tummy tuck surgery at the South Florida Center starts at $2,999 (not including anesthesia or surgeon’s fees), with your final cost depending on the extent of. We also offer flexible financing options through trusted providers to help make your transformation more accessible.
We’re here to guide you every step of the way—so you can feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout your journey.
Depending on your anatomy and goals, your surgeon will recommend the best approach to give you a flatter, firmer, and more sculpted result—For most patients, the horizontal incision necessary for the Tummy Tuc can be placed below the bikini line to make it easy to conceal beneath clothing.
During your consultation, your surgeon will walk you through the best incision type for your goals, body type, and level of correction needed—always prioritizing scar placement that is as discreet and low-profile as possible.
This is the most common type of tummy tuck. The incision (scar) runs horizontally from hip to hip, placed low across the bikini line for easy concealment under clothing and swimwear. It allows the surgeon to remove excess skin, repair abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), and reposition the belly button if needed. Liposuction of the flanks included.
Ideal for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity below the belly button, this technique uses a shorter horizontal incision placed low on the abdomen. It does not typically involve muscle repair or repositioning of the belly button, making it a less invasive option with a quicker recovery. If necessary, this can also include liposuction of the flanks.
For patients with significant excess skin around the waistline or after major weight loss, an extended tummy tuck may be recommended. This involves a longer incision that extends around the hips to better contour the flanks and lower back in addition to the front of the abdomen. Our extended Tummy Tuck includes muscle repair and liposuction of the flanks.
Used in more advanced cases, especially after massive weight loss, this technique combines a horizontal incision with a vertical incision up the center of the abdomen. It allows for removal of excess skin both vertically and horizontally to achieve a more dramatic transformation. Liposuction may be included.
Changes such as pregnancy or prolonged pressure on the midsection can cause the abdominal muscles to stretch or separate—a condition known as diastasis recti. This separation weakens core stability and can lead to poor posture, reduced mobility, and lower back discomfort. During a tummy tuck, the abdominal wall is repaired and tightened to restore strength, enhance physical comfort, and support long-term core function and overall health.
Skin folds in the lower abdomen can trap sweat and bacteria, leading to rashes, irritation, and persistent infections. Removing excess skin with a tummy tuck helps create a cleaner, drier environment that’s easier to care for.
Even with exercise, weakened muscles and excess tissue can cause the abdomen to appear distended or disproportionate. A tummy tuck flattens and recontours the midsection for a firmer, more supportive core structure.
To enhance overall shape and definition, our tummy tuck procedures routinely include liposuction of the flanks—targeting stubborn fat around the waist to refine your curves. This combination helps create a smoother, more sculpted waistline and a naturally balanced, hourglass silhouette that flatters your frame from every angle.
