About Dr. David Gerth

From an early age, Dr. Gerth has been interested in the sciences and driven to challenge himself. Growing up in Nashville, Tennessee he became an Eagle Scout before finishing high school. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Genetics from the University of Georgia. Choosing to be closer to his hometown, Dr. Gerth went onto receive his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee.

His training also includes two residencies in Otolaryngology and Plastic Surgery from the University of Tennessee and the University of Miami, in addition to a Research Fellowship and a Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship. During this time, Dr. Gerth received the Aesthetic Surgery Journal Research Article of the Year in 2016 and received the Best Chief Resident Presentation award from the Miami Society of Plastic Surgery in 2018.

When Dr. Gerth is not in the operating room, he can be found enjoying the beaches of Florida, out on the water, or on an international mission trip donating his time to those less fortunate than him. Since 2013, Dr. Gerth has been performing surgery in South Florida.

He now serves patients from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and all over the United States at the South Florida Center for Cosmetic Surgery.
